How to Use the Gothic Lockpick Solver
A quick walkthrough for entering plates, pin positions, and same or opposite links in the Gothic Remake solver.
Start by counting the number of visible plates in the lock. Set that number in the editor, then place each pin at the hole you see in the game.
Next, add links between plates. Choose Same when two plates move together, Opposite when one moves left as the other moves right, and None when they are not linked.
After the lock face matches your screen, read the move list from the solver result. The route is generated locally in your browser with breadth-first search.
If the solver says no safe route was found, check the pin positions and links again. A single wrong relation can make the model impossible even when the real lock has a solution.
